At drupa 2008, Erhardt+Leimer presented a new multi-camera system for 100 per cent print Inspection. Its fast line cameras are said to allow for speeds of over 200 m/min at the highest resolution level.
There are 12,000-18,000 active pixels available for web widths of 1,000 mm and above, to meet the high demands of quality assurance in packaging, forms and foil printing. The new TubeLight diffuse lighting system is said to ensure perfect monitoring results - even with strongly reflective surfaces - and will detect embossed structures of metal foils.
The new system was shown on Erhardt+Leimer’s stand running on a 660 mm inspection rewinder, and on the stands of various machine manufacturers.
