£6 million spend raises Rigid’s options

UK corrugated box maker Rigid Containers has commissioned a 6-colour Göpfert 16/24 Evolution flexo rotary diecutter at its flagship site in Selby.

Managing Director Richard Coward comments: “We are now in a position to significantly expand our range of ‘stock and serve’ facilities, especially as customers require more and more high quality graphics on their Retail Ready Packaging. While we have always been able to offer print to our customers — being serviced from our sister company in Belgium —now we can handle every type of job in-house.”

Part of the Belgian VPK group, Rigid has two manufacturing, warehousing and logistics facilities in the UK, based in Desborough and Selby.
