Leading packaging converter breaks Brückner's Chinese record
10 October 2006
Brückner Formtec has sold four complete PET film extrusion lines and two upgradings to Far Eastern New Material, a member of the Far Eastern Group, one of China's leading packaging players. It is the largest single order from China received by Brückner who was the preferred supplier due to its “all out of one hand package” for extrusion, roll stack, coating, winder and control system.
The lines include three identical horizontal roll stack lines for polished APET film in a thickness range from 200-1.200 micron as well as an inclined roll stack for thick polished APET film in a range from 500 - 1,800 micron. All will be equipped with twin screw main extruders, multi layer feedblocks and fully automatic multiweb turret winders. Total system integration with the Brückner MMS system enables Far Eastern to link its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software with the line control. This ensures perfect tracking - from the raw material to APET film and finished thermoformed goods, claims the company. The multiweb winders also feature the Brückner line control system.
The new lines will increase Far Eastern’s APET film capacity to about 60,000t/year of A-grade film. Some will be processed in house, but the majority will be sold to domestic and overseas markets. The film will be converted into high grade blisters for premium consumer goods and electronics, also fruit punnets, food trays and cups.
