Offering advanced cutting technology, the systems and products that make up the Jarshire portfolio come from the well-respected Italian manufacturer Espo srl. Applications for Espo equipment are to be found throughout the converting, tissue, paper, non-woven, corrugated cardboard, film and foil markets wherever there is a need to slit flexible materials. Where required, fully-customised slitting systems may be designed and manufactured to meet a customer's specific requirement or supplied as components for rebuild and up-grade programmes.

Espo systems are designed to improve the slitting quality, reduce slitting problems as well as minimising set up and maintenance time. Their features include an accurate positioning system, either in manual or fully automatic mode; reliable knife-holders; variable slit widths and style mode, such as shear, razor and crush cutting; and the use of a certified range of steels and materials for blades and bottom knives appropriate to different slitting applications.

To support and prove Espo equipment, Jarshire offers prospective customers a comprehensive advisory service that includes a production survey, the supply of a test unit and then, if identified as beneficial, a full on-site maintenance package managed by a specialist engineer. The complete maintenance package includes advice on, training for, and maintenance of any make of knife-holder, backed up by full UK-based spares stock-holding and with all repairs carried out in the U.K. Costs to the customer are therefore kept to a minimum, down-times reduced, a speedy return service guaranteed, and the need to buy extra knife-holders or spares removed.
