Positive response to new ELTIM at Drupa

29 June 2012

At the Drupa print industry exhibition in May, the Augsburg-based specialist for automation Erhardt+Leimer presented its new ELTIM product line – a system that allows monitoring of material thickness, weight and other relevant properties in different production processes.

The new ELTIM was originally developed by Mesys GmbH and is based on their smart frame concept. Precisely matched components guarantee a more accurate, profitable and cost-effective production.

This concept allows a precise measurement of the individual layer thickness with an accuracy of 0.5% to 0.2% – even in combination with other substrates. Precise formula specification or repeated calibration will lead to even better values.

ELTIM is the second solution, which was not originally developed by Erhardt+Leimer.

For Dirk Schroeder, E+L Sales Manager print/paper/foil, the Mesys system is a perfect complement to the existing product portfolio: “The success of NYSCAN has proved that we are able to integrate third-party solutions into our portfolio and develop them further,” he says.

In a first step, the specialists from Augsburg equipped the new ELTIM with the proven ELSIS-surface inspection system.

In combination with the patented DAC-measuring principle, the USM ultrasonic sensor and the MM2 jockey roller, the new ELTIM provides a noticeable improvement in quality and profitability.

Following the positive response at Drupa, Dirk Schroeder is convinced that: "The new ELTIM is a highly attractive solution especially for the printing, paper and film industry."
